Although it has been major political issue legalizing marijuana in some major states of the U.S I believe that it could contribute too many ideological factors in society, because it’s main benefit has been said to help our economy for the good and also the health industry. In concern to public opinion many beliefs and tensions with the media have been spreading between the people.
Marijuana has been around for quite some time now, and the issue against it being legalized has been a big factor. We have many people growing their own cannabis in their farms and its legal in their state but the federal government could still come in and prosecute them for what they are doing. We now have 5 major sates that have passed the legalization of cannabis. Washington that with fifty-six percent of voters who approved the law that says adults 21 and over are permitted to use up to one-ounce of marijuana and up to 16 ounces of marijuana-infused solid form, or 72 ounces of marijuana-infused in liquid form for their own personal use in private. Oregon with a Fifty-six percent of voters that approved the law. This one is a little bit different from the others it says that 21 and older adults who use up to four cannabis plants and eight ounces of marijuana will not be subject to taxation or commercial regulations. This will not take affect until January of the coming year. Colorado that won it with fifty-five of voters licensing marijuana commercial production and sales for 21 and over. We then have the district of Colombia that won the voters vote with sixty-nine percent that cuts the removal and penalty of the use of marijuana in the state. Last we have Alaska that fifty-two percent of voters approved the drug, to one ounce of cannabis and up to six-plants or cannabis
