Someone walks into a room and sees a loved one seizing, convulsing uncontrollably, and having no control over his or her body. Scary, huh!? Unfortunately, I have seen this personally with my mother who was diagnosed with epilepsy just three years ago. Sadly, doctors prescribe artificial, man-made pharmaceuticals to my mother for her epilepsy these pharmaceuticals cause many side effects which worsens her condition instead of making her better. Marijuana or cannabis for medical and recreational use is the number one drug of choice in the United States. Marijuana is a controversial drug and is becoming more socially accepted in our society, it is estimated that more than a third of the population uses marijuana. States around the country, more than twenty in total, have legalized medical marijuana for multiple beneficial reasons as a natural alternative, which can cease/cure medical conditions. Therefore, marijuana should be legal in all states because it is all natural, has many medicinal uses, and can decrease drug abuse. ALL NATURAL DRUG First, authorities should legalize medical marijuana because it is a natural drug. “Why is marijuana against the law? It grows naturally upon our planet. Cannabis is non-toxic to the human body and has therapeutically active benefits to help treat the immune system throughout the whole body.
