Becoming a new parent is known to be inspiring and delighted for the majority of men and women worldwide. In the workplace, maternity or paternity leave is not supported equally. Maternity leave is commonly backed up by governments to the mother to be with paid vacations or sick leave. Even though in the United States maternity or paternity leave is not paid in many others countries new parents can receive 100% of their wages such as Australia. After childbirth, women require as much attention as newborns, and this is when men are most needed, especially if mom had a cease section. New fathers would also like to take time off from work to dedicate to their wife and newborn. However, the governments provide men with a short paternity leave or none at all. For instance, in Saudi Arabia, paternity is allowed to take 70 days including 50% pay, in Turkey 112 days with 67% pay, and in Brazil 120 days with 100% pay. In the United States, Swaziland and Papua New Guinea are the only countries that do not pay leave. They will be disadvantaged of being paid their earnings throughout this period which is somewhat biased since it is treasured and valuable for families that men have a chance to take time off their jobs at a remarkable time deprived of having to fear about losing their employment. In many occasion, divorces have occurred in families where men could not take a paternity leave. Fathers should receive support for paternity leave and be able to spend time with their wives and children without any concerns about work.
