Monkey Love Here is the situation. You have to choose a cure for your own child's illness or the life of an animal. What are your thoughts right now? The cure or the animal? That cure you need for your child's’ illness was tested on animals in a biomedical research experiment. Hearing that might change someone's mind because some people don't believe that animal testing is right. Others would choose the cure for their child and forget about the animal. There are a lot of opinions when it comes to the topic of using animals in biomedical research. I, however, agree with the process of biomedical animal research because it is more beneficial for us humans to know as much as possible about our medical products before putting them out for the public.Also, animals are very similar to humans, and using them as a resource in the medical world will help us cure diseases and illnesses we never before thought possible. Is doing this ethically alright? The question that the naysayers need to remember is, who would you put in the animal's place? If your loved one has a disease would you let them test a new possible cure, with no background knowledge of the effects it may have? No, most people would not be happy putting their loved one in that position.
