North Korea’s been obsessed with securing a functional and deliverable nuclear weapon for what seems like decades. Lucky for them, it seems like it’s finally becoming a reality.

Since Kim Jong II tested North Korea’s first nuclear weapon in 2006, the race for nuclear arms has quickly been taking shape—and it’s not in North America’s favor.

While most of us have been distracted by Taylor Swift’s new album or the iPhone 8 leaks, North Korea’s super secret nuclear program has been making some pretty freaky waves.

For now, here’s what we know (or don’t know): It’s a super secret program, remember?
1. They’ve got the bomb

2. It’s kind of a big deal
Not to freak you out, but North Korea’s nuclear bomb tests (there have been five now) have been increasing in size.

September 2016’s nuclear tests indicated that Kim Jung II’s got a device with an explosive impact of up to 30 kilotons, the strongest nuclear test ever.

You can freak out now.

As the explosive cherry on top, North Korea claims its most recent tests were a hydrogen bomb, which is boatloads more powerful than atomic bombs.

While experts are still casting doubts about the “H-word,” our pumpkin spice lattes are still shaking with fear.

3. North Korea isn’t listening
The world’s doing its best to help ease tensions, but most efforts are being ignored.
While the United Nations responded to the latest tests with a new sanctions package and Donald Trump tossed some threats via Twitter, no amount of “fire and fury” seems to have Korea backing down.
