Nuclear Power Pros And Cons

Nuclear Power
Introduction
People in the world are not in common when it comes to power-supply. Some say that coal power is the best option because it is cheap, or solar power because it is environmentally friendly.
Because of the global warming is going faster than ever we have to ditch coal- and oil power and start using other energy sources. Nuclear power is one of the best candidates.
In this text you 'll read about why fission (nuclear) energy is so good and why it is the obvious option when it comes to getting energy to your house.
The three arguments that I will focus on in this text are:
Nuclear power saves lives and our planet
Nuclear power gives you much energy and is a more trustable energy source
Nuclear power has more potential
Main part
Nuclear power saves lives. A research by NASA showed that nuclear power is the safest energy source in the world. Even if you count with the mortality from the Chernobyl and Fukushima catastrophes nuclear …show more content…

"But several square kilometres of land also got destroyed and can never be used again." Good point, but the land can be used. Either you can make it a national park (like Chernobyl) or then you can for example put wind- and solar powerplants there. People think that wind powerplants are ugly and makes annoying sounds so why can 't you put them where people shouldn 't be anyway?
"What about atomic waste? It is super dangerous in the wrong place." Radioactive waste is a big problem. With 400 nuclear reactors spread over 30 countries Finland is the only country that is serious about opening a permanent civilian waste storage. Although the waste is a big problem it is contained and often stored in the ground. Compared to coal power that emits all the waste to the air, isn 't it better to use nuclear power and store the waste where it is safe from
