The use of performance-enhancing drugs has risen. The rising use of more and more drugs is forcing college-athletic officials to drug test more. Every Time a college athlete gets a drug test the school has to pay money to the lab where urine is getting tested. As more drugs get placed onto the banned substance list, the school has to pay so much more money to test more. If most of the performance-enhancing drugs like: protein, creatine, pre-workout, multivitamins, etc. weren’t on the list the school could save that drug testing money and use it for better things like more scholarships for athletes. Athletes use performance-enhancing substances to get bigger, faster, and stronger more efficient to become a more quality athlete in a match or game. If athletes can't use supplements in their body then athletes may break down both mentally and physically. During this discussion the officials should discuss which drugs are appropriate for athletes to use and which are not. Amphetamines and anabolic-androgen drugs are the most popular and should not be allowed, however supplements like creatine or protein aren’t as popular or as harmful. There should be no reason for these less powerful supplements to not be allowed to be consumed by college
