Planned Parenthood has been around just short of 100 years. Just recently they have experienced scrutiny for undercover videos that have been released about them. Planned Parenthood is known for doing abortions for all types of women and girls. On their website, it is even stated that three out of ten girls will have an abortion procedure by the time they are 45 years old (Planned). So many women have undergone this procedure. Things have changed rapidly over the last months with the release of several undercover videos. Many people have begun to change their minds about the clinic and started to take a stand against Planned Parenthood. Trafficking baby body parts is a serious crime. If caught, you could potentially receive up to ten years in prison. Planned Parenthood has not denied the selling of baby body parts, but has stated it helps their cause. Disposing of the aborted babies bodies is a very expensive process involving incineration. When they are able to sell the body parts, they are able to make money instead of losing it. They claim they are not making any profit off of this side business. Once again Dr. Nucatola was caught on tape, saying the parts cost anywhere from $30-$100. Planned Parenthood says they do around 327,653 abortions a year. At this rate, they would be making anywhere from $5 million to $22 million off this side business (Clark). People have not been educated as to what Planned Parenthood does, and immediately jump to their own conclusions. As a result, there is sympathy for Planned Parenthood from many who believe they are a suffering company, but with recent discoveries, some have changed their minds. Planned Parenthood receives money from the government which adds up to over half a billion dollars annually. The news that broke out about the selling of fetal body parts adds even more money to their pockets.
