Given in today’s society, many citizens believe that outside forces threaten the national security of our country. The United States is The Melting Pot of the world, that’s where our national security at risk. Despite that every day illegal transportation of goods, illegal immigrants, and even terrorism in danger everyone in this country. Society should be more concerned about the large amount of people that are in need of a place of sanctuary aren’t accepted into the United States. In recent news, the U.S. graciously accepted an estimation of 10,000 Syrian refugees. This helps strengthen the meaning of our country. Especially that nobody wants to turn away the helpless, especially in a time like this. Nevertheless, we do face a challenge of having to set up a way to make sure that not a single one of the refugees are a detrimental threat to the United States. Another challenge that we do face would be having a system in place to be able to permit each individual a legal documentation that they are in need of to be a citizen of this country. The most reasonable action that we can undergo to allow the Syrian refugees into the country and to administer legal citizenship would be recreating a modern Elis Island at Guantanamo Bay. In addition, having the high-security prison located outside of national borders is a reasonable area that will not be able to affect the general public. In addition, if one of the immigrants does pose a threat to the country, we wouldn’t have a catastrophic event.
