Thanksgiving, a festive time of year, where we give thanks for all the things we have. Thanksgiving is also one of the few sure times where it is socially acceptable to let loose, and pig out on a feast of well seasoned and perfectly braised turkey. Turkeys are a Thanksgiving tradition. People from all parts of the United States eat the bird as a part of their fall feast. Every Thanksgiving, 45 million turkeys are consumed in the United States. It’s time for a change! Too many turkeys are being slaughtered and should be pardoned this Thanksgiving, so that they can get a chance to do so much more, like become chefs.
