The gruesome violent horror drama TV series “The Walking Dead” is about to show its spinoff this week and critics believe that this gamble from AMC will pay off.
After creating monster hits like the cable show “The Walking Dead” and the talk show “The Talking Dead,” AMC is set to have “Fear the Walking Dead” as the drama’s spinoff. Although most spinoffs receive mixed reviews, AMC proved that they can create successful ones such as “Better Call Saul” as prequel series to “Breaking Bad.”
However, some fear that the upcoming “The Walking Dead” spinoff might become less successful like the “Cheers” spinoff and even the “Love Boat: The Next Wave.” It seems that the followers’ fear is not baseless. At the early scenes of the first episodes, the zombies can be seen eating and stalking the living. While the new series introduces the characters, the plot will stick to the thrill and tense of the horror drama with surprising twists that will truly scare the viewers.
