Many parents are fighting against doctors and law enforcement to keep their children safe from developing a serious health risk caused by vaccines. They are doing their best to keep their children safe. Parents should be permitted to opt out of required vaccinations that could lead to potential health risks for their kids. Doctors are still are not sure how each vaccine affects kids specifically. Each kid could react differently to each vaccination. “Vaccine risks are different for each child because we are not all the same, and doctors cannot predict which child will be harmed” (USA Today Information Network). This is putting many children at risk of developing a severe health problem in their future. Parents also aren’t for sure what are going into their children’s bodies. Kids now are getting more vaccines than were required for their parents. Babies are getting 69 doses of 19 different vaccines according to USA Today. With each of the 19 vaccines it is not yet shown how it will affect each baby. Parents are also seeing some of the vaccinations as not needed. "‘What if they experience it,’ said Dee Klocke of the prospects of either of her two children contracting measles. ‘So what?’" (Foxhall). This shows some parents feel as though their children having an illness that can be treated is not as bad as their kid having a serious health risk.
