Why are women not allowed to play contact sports? Men’s hockey is throwing punches on the rink and have more spectators. Coincidence or not? Who has a greater pain tolerance, males or females? Women's soccer is fighting on and off the field non stop. Women should be allowed to play contact sports.
First off Women’s hockey is currently and always has been non contact, this means that no contact should happen during, after, or before the game. Men get more violent on the ice so more people are watching them. Most people find violence entertaining this is why football and hockey are such popular sports. But women’s hockey can’t get violent so most people aren’t watching them. Clearly non-contact is not something america likes.
Another reason is women generally deal with more pain in their lives, we have to bear children and have monthly pains. Women have more nerve receptors, this means that women feel pain more intensely. Therefore if I get a paper cut and if a man gets the same paper cut I will be feeling more pain. So if a man and a women get the same injury it will hurt the women more, because she has more nerve receptors. If both put up with the …show more content…

While off the field they are fighting for equal pay (which they don’t have) but on the field they fight to win the game. Since america tends to like violence it’s not surprising that since soccer is contact we bring in a lot of money from that. The USWNT (U.S. Women’s National Team) is bringing in more money than the men, this means that more people are watching. More people are watching women’s soccer because it is contact, therefore even if we are women we still are making more money, for the club, for a contact sport. Women playing soccer just shows how we can play a contact sport and not hurt each other. If men are stopping us from playing that just means that they think we are to powerful and that we will rip each other
