Should your school have year-round school? More than half of schools in the United States are switching from having a summer break to year-round school. Year-round schools have six to nine weeks of school in a row, broken up to two to four week vacations. When you have school with a summer break, you have eight months in a row with a Thanksgiving, Christmas, and spring break, with some days off like MLK day and a few snow days. I think we should stay with having a summer break because kids need to get outside, enjoy the fresh air and go to sport or nature camps. Kids will be unfocused in the classroom like looking outside at their friends who have a summer break, and even for the teachers, they just need to have time to get ready for the upcoming year.
