Zoos Did you know that the first modern zoo took place in London, in 1828?! Sounds crazy right? That’s a lot of people! It is mostly busy during the summer because, one: it is hot outside, two: no school! It is always packed with people in the zoo so that’s why people hand out maps to get your way around the zoo. They didn’t really know how to treat them, so they decided to put them in boxes with holes. But then they realized that they couldn’t see them in the box, so they put them behind wooden bars. Now people can see them without them escaping! Is it right to keep animals in a zoo? Yes because zoos have education, Breeding centers, and research centers! In my opinion, I think that animals can live a physical and emotional life in a zoo. …show more content…

For example, zoo workers tame wild animals to be good and do cool tricks to entertain people! Also, people get a chance to actually interact with animals that they have never seen before and watch for what they do! Some of the animal’s wild life habitats get destroyed by weather, or other animals, so zoos can help them by making them a new habitat that cannot be destroyed! In the second place, zoos have Breeding centers! Chimpanzees have one of the most top Breeding centers out of all of the zoos so they will not go instinct! There are only about 250,000 Rhinos left in the whole world! That seems like a lot, but it is not! That is why zoos are making Breeding centers for Rhinos so they won’t go instinct! Tigers are also going instinct. There are about 100,000 left of them and we need them! That is why zoos are to the rescue to make Breeding centers for tigers so they will not disappear! In the third place, zoos have Research centers! Zoo workers research on animals to know exactly how much they are supposed to eat and drink so they will not get too hungry or way too full! Also, they research all about the animal’s habitats and where they live so they know what the habitat would look like and what temperature it needs and all sorts of things like that.
