I believe that the death penalty should still be used as a capital punishment. For the fact because anyone who does anytime of cruel damage should pay the consequences for their actions. Yes it may cost taxpayers money but it gives people justice for people who did a horrific event, for example the terrorist attack on 9/11 or the Boston Marathon. Those were all horrible people who knew what they were doing and they knew that death was going to follow them wherever they went. Bad people don’t deserve to sit in a cell and eat food or even breath of all the death and pain and grief they have caused people. Humanity does exist and they certainly didn’t have that, there are certain extents to use death row on somebody, if you do something that …show more content…
Since 1992 the numbers were much more higher back then. In 2016 the numbers of the death penalty are low, only 5 states in the United States carry on with the death penalty, Texas, Alabama,Florida, Georgia and Missouri. Most of the time people who do crimes that affect not just only one person but the whole United States, deserves the death penalty. For example the 9/11 tragic terrorist attack. The Sandy Hook school shooting, the church shooting, the boston bomber, and the list could go on forever. They all could have humanity and just did it out of spite because they were angry or not in the right state of mind. The death penalty is something no one can take back, after it is done the person is dead and life goes on. People who tend to just cause destruction and like ruining people's lives tend to kill themselves so all it did for us was save the money that it would've cost to kill the person. Sooner or later there's going to be a time where someone will given on someone who is so destructive and instead of giving them the death penalty they would give them the life sentence to where they get to eat food every day, it might not be the best food but they still get to eat, they get to sleep every night and breath and maybe go outside and be able to breath in that fresh air. When it comes down to it people don’t think of what that person gets out of it, do you think there all sad because they didn’t get the death penalty. If anything they would be happy and maybe even enjoying life because they know what they have did and they might be able to think about what
