Imagine a world in which no harm could be done without punishment. The world would seem to be a much simpler place would it not? Everyone would get away with everything such as murder, rape, theft and those people would live on a happy life. The answer to that is no, no one should get away with the brutality of murder, or rape. The first execution in Connecticut was done in 1639 to a man named Nepauduck for murder. The last execution in Connecticut was done in 2005 by lethal injection, to a man named Michael Ross in the case of him being a serial killer. Do these crimes seem acceptable in your mind? Something as terrible as brutally murdering someone should not go about as nothing happening. Think about it, how are people going to know what they are doing is wrong if they do not get punished for it in some way more serious than what they had done? As a viewers perspective that makes it seem like those people can get away with anything and everything. In some cases, using insanity as an example, there could arguably be some leniency with it. Some people do not know exactly what they are doing when they are doing it but it is still not acceptable. Think of it this way, if those people did not get the death penalty who says they will not get out of jail, or a hospital, and do it once again!
