Ever want to go behind the scenes of a zoo, you’ll wish you never had. To be or not to be, that is the question. Many zoos around the world are getting called out for the way they treat animals and what they should really be doing. Some say it’s fine, others disagree. It can be confusing. Though, here in a few you will learn why this is, and how it is important. The public only knows what goes on on the outside, not on the in. Zoos are not good for animals because breeding programs don’t work, zoos don’t educate the public properly, and zoos don’t take care of the animals the right way. To start out with, zoos don’t show how animals act in the wild. Many zoos don’t allow animals to do what they normally would, such as hunting and gathering. This is a major issue because if the animal is released into the wild, the the animal isn’t going to know how to hunt and gather, therefore leading to him or her dieing of starvation. This is because the animal then becomes reliant on the humans and then loses the ability to do these things.
