Although there were other major influences through out the Civil Rights movement, none impacted a change as much as the little rock nine students. The little rock nine are known for making a huge difference in racial discrimination. This movement was the most significant in the history of civil rights. The efforts of those children started a chain reaction of other improvements to the unjust segregation laws.
World War One led to many changes in the U.S and the world itself, but what affects did it have on the domestic issues of America such as segregation and unjust treatment of African Americans, and women 's suffrage. While greatly affecting domestic issues, World War One led to large changes in the demographics because of migration of african americans from southern states because of oppressive laws and racial prejudice to the northern states. It also changed the roles of African Americans and women on society, and led to women 's right to vote, Being a time of such large impact one might never think of what was happening here in America during World War One but in reality it was a time of much change in America. African Americans roles were beginning to change in society because during World War One from 1914 and 1920, roughly 500,000 black southerners packed their bags and headed to the North, fundamentally transforming the social, cultural, and political landscape of cities such as Chicago, New York, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, and Detroit.
Another issue that was mentioned in your speech was about police brutality. African Americans fear the knowledge that police brutality towards other African American victims is happening around them. Like you said, “We can never be satisfied as long as the Negro is the victim of the unspeakable horrors of police brutality.” Police brutality has gotten milder but it 's still out there and to be honest, you would like how the world turned out.
The American Revolution, was an inspiration to black people and they’d hoped the words and rules of the Patriots go for them as well. But that wasn’t the case. When all of the Armies had gone away from the land, we were a country of farmers founded by notions of freedom. We had over 700,000 slaves working in the US at its birth.
Throughout several years in America things have changed. Whether America’s opinion of the changes are good or bad, things have changed for everyone, no matter the race. In the history of America, African Americans are oppressed and have had their civil liberties violated. The first African Americans are brought to the “New World” as slaves, against their own will and civil liberties. After the civil war, slavery ends and African Americans had more rights, making the first steps toward equality occur. However, still African Americans had to obey the Jim Crow Laws and led segregated lives, with the belief they are inferior. Still having their civil liberties violated, African Americans became disenfranchised and created a movement in the 20th century.

The ability of being able to vote is a wonderful privilege; voting also gives your vote a say for who is representing our country. Freedom is an excellent opportunity because you are able to choose what you want to say and your religion. These two rights are important to numerous of people because nobody wants to be told what they cannot say or worship. Joining the military is also a joyful experience because you have the choice to fight for your country. Fighting for your country shows that citizens appreciate America and what has done for them.
An “American” is complex to define for the simple fact that America is structured through the melting pot theory in which different types of people integrate collectively as one. Individuals from all over the world come to a country like America because it is acknowledged for providing humans an improved and more suitable way of living. People are finally able to experience a more preferably life with better opportunities for themselves and their kids. African Americans face a struggle with racism which has been present in our country before the Civil War began in 1861. America still faces racism today however, around the 1920’s the daily life of an African American slowly began to improve. Thus, this time period was known by many, as the “Negro Fad” (O’Neill). The quality of life and freedom of African Americans that lived in the United States was constantly evolving and never completely considered ‘equal’. From being enslaved, to fighting for their freedom, African Americans were greatly changing the status quo and beginning to make their mark in the United States.
