The app that I will be talking about is the Compass. As most of us know a compass is an instrument that gives us the cardinal points and is used for navigating. The use of an actual compass to find our destination is not common anymore. Technology advances at a miraculous rate and instead, we use the GPS or Google Maps, which is much more efficient in our fast-paced life. Unfortunately, we don’t have a GPS or an app on our phone that will navigate us through the path called life, to reach the destination which is of fulfilment and success. It’s up to us to decide which route to head when we find a fork in the road or worse, a cross road. Today I will be talking about some of the core things that can help us choose the right path and guide us. When we come across an obstacle, most of us doubt ourselves and we tend to overthink. Overthinking keeps us from having a positive attitude towards our choices. Instead of focusing on other issues, our thoughts keep on circling around that one topic and there is no end to it. This is a sign of low self-esteem and a lack of trust in ourselves. We try to weigh all our possible options, like a multiple choice question, but life is not a test. I remember feeling unnatural to select art along with science, biology, AP maths and French. I thought taking art wouldn’t contribute to my life later on as I wasn’t going to do any further studies on this subject. It would only be another addition to the growing pile of stress. But I am thankful to my younger self for choosing the subject that I love the most and one which allows me to be expressive unlike any of my other subjects. This is a perfect example of how only the things we love to do can last. I know I can never leave this subject as it is what I do passionately.
