I am writing you to hopefully persuade you to shorten the school hours in the state of Texas. I strongly believe that hours shortened at school will decrease all kinds of violence at school.That includes fights,bringing drugs,food fights,and especially skipping which is a big problem at most schools.Students feel as that being at school for 8 hours is too long so they skip class to get a break.This leads to violence in the halls and disrupting of classes going on if the students that are skipping are too loud. If we shorten the days to approximate 6 hours i believe that all these problems will decrease and students will actually attend class knowing the day is not so long. I understand that students need a full 8 hours of education for them
