Audie Leon Murphy born in Kingston, Texas on June 20, 1925, he was the seventh child of twelve to Josie Bell and Emmett Berry Murphy. The murphys were sharecroppers, sharecropping is a system of agriculture where the landowner allows a tenant to use the land in return for a share of the crops produced of their land. Murphy’s father, Emmett, had no plan on how to feed his family, Emit drifted in and out of his family’s life and soon he deserted them. To help support his family Audie dropped out of school in 5th grade and started picking cotton for a dollar a day. Audie Murphy also helped feed his mother and siblings by going hunting for rabbits and small animals around their property eventually he became very skilled with a rifle.
Joe Rosato is a tour guide and Liaison for volunteers on the Board of Directors of The New Jersey Vietnam Veterans’ Memorial Foundation located in Holmdel, NJ. He has volunteered at the memorial since 2007. Joe enlisted in the U.S Navy from his hometown of Brooklyn, NY on Dec. 7, 1966 (25th anniversary of Pearl Harbor). His basic training was at The U.S. Submarine Training Center in New London, CT. He ended up his enlistment in the Navy by serving in the Vietnam War at Yankee Station (Gulf of Tonkin) in 1968 as a Helmsman and Lee Helmsman aboard the aircraft carrier USS America CVA-66.
Few producers throughout the years have been as influential as Phil Spector was to rock music. The techniques he created and popularized in the music he wrote changed both rock music and the way it was recorded. These techniques include doubling and reverbing, both of which contributed to his famous “wall of sound”. Though Phil Spector produced many songs performed by many different artists, there are some which offer stellar representations of the musical developments he made. Morton was accused of murdering his young wife Christine the day after his 32nd birthday. On August 13, 1986, Christine was brutally murdered while lying in bed. The only witness to the murder was the couple’s 3-year-old son Eric. Michael who worked at a local grocery store, was not at home the time of the murder.

William Dean Howells was born on March 1, 1837, in Martinsville, Ohio to William Cooper, and Mary Dean. He was the second of eight children. His father worked as a newspaper editor and printer which he moved frequently around Ohio. The family settled in Hamilton Ohio where his father oversaw a Whig newspaper and followed Swedenborgians they lived there for nine years which was the longest they would stay in one spot.
Louis Armstrong was a legendary jazz icon who learned to master the trumpet and gained massive success across different decades. Louis Armstrong was a composer, trumpeter, singer, and even an actor. Armstrong was known beyond the jazz community, and into the more known popular music. Armstrong came from a very poor neighborhood and basically grew up without his parents. Armstrong’s financial situation did not stop him from having long life dreams of emerging in the music industry.
He was born into a middle-class family which allowed him to be able to have the ability to have access to music at an early age. His mother was a key figure in his life when it came to music. She encouraged him to seek out a musical instrument when he was young. He started playing the piano very early in life, around the age of six, and it soon became clear to his family that he had a natural talent for it. He went on to study the piano and take piano lessons, per his family’s suggestion, soon after his talent was discovered.
