A hero is defined as someone who often sacrificed their own personal concerns for the greater good. Peyton Manning illustrates heroism on and off the field, weather it is helping St. Vincent’s Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis, or leading the Broncos to a Super Bowl 50 win, he makes heroism evident in his daily routine. As for what Peyton Manning is known for is that he was a professional NFL (National Football League) quarterback, who played for the Indianapolis Colts, but then transferred to the Denver Broncos. He sets a good example to the people who watch him, and is a hero to many people. He shows perseverance through the hard practices, and it shows on the field. He was drafted during his Senior year to the Indianapolis Colts, where he turned the franchize into a great one. He lead the Colts to a Super bowl win, and then to another super bowl appearance. When he injured his neck, the Colts declared it the end of his career. But he had other plans, so he signed with the Denver Broncos. At Denver he broke all of the best quarterback records, including the most TD’s , and the most yards. The second season with the Broncos was one to remember, for he lead the Broncos to the super bowl, but lost to the Seahawks. Another year would pass before he would return to the big game. That season he lead several close finger-biting playoff wins to compete in the Super Bowl against the Panthers. The game came down to the best defence, and the Broncos won in a upset. From there he would retire, and become a football legend for the Broncos and the Colts. His contributions reflect on both teams now, even though they have both had bad seasons for the past few years.
