My childhood generated an interest to know how and why things happened; this soon flourished into a more specific interest in science, and later pharmacy. The everyday job of a pharmacist, whether as a dispenser or working in the marketing of the product, has changed vastly in the last few decades. We, as a global society of pharmaceuticals, have developed the way we work on a daily basis. Every pill that is researched, developed and produced, is made for the soul purpose of helping people. Helping people who are in vulnerable conditions has been a great passion of mine from very early on in my adolescent life. In December 2012 I took part in some work experience at a pharmacy in Morocco where my family are originally from. It was there that I became certain about the profession that I want to commit to. While I was there I had the opportunity to print out repeat prescriptions while under supervision and was shown how to operate blood pressure and blood sugar machines. I was able to then see first-hand how such a small pharmacy was able to make such a large impact on the community around it at the time.
