Phillip Yancey writes about questions that may have puzzled believers and non-believers by working to set aside traditional ideas in search of spiritual truth. He talks about how the birth,baptism and all the other stories were taught to him at his youth ages. He was learning so many different things about Jesus at once. He was taught that Jesus as a nice genuine comforting person, and later as an powerful God who spoke to people as friend. I know listening to the different stories my family told me about Jesus made me think about Jesus in such a marvelous way. I thought to myself what a willing thing Jesus did for us all. Yancey felt like the American christians portrayed him with these images of Jesus.

He taught his disciples how to perform miracles. He taught people how to seek God. Jesus was a good teacher.
Yancey taught many good things about Jesus and his disciples. He broke everything down and explain how he felt about all the stories told in the Bible. He expressed his thoughts about the Christians portraying Jesus. Yancey gives a good background of Jesus. He not only talks about the life of Jesus but he talks about the different people stories that was important to Jesus. He talks about Jesus mother and the background of her life. He explains everyone’s stories in a good description.

Yancey helped me understand some of the things I wasn’t sure about Jesus. I have always been interested of learning the truth about Jesus and the Gospel. My church teaches us, majority of what was in the book but Yancey gave me a better way of understanding what was exactly going on in every stage that Jesus went through. Like Yancey I was told at a young age about the stories of the Gospel, they told us what we would understand since we were young. As a child I asked many questions relating to the birth of Jesus. I still had some of those questions but after reading Yancey’s book Jesus I Never Knew .Yancey had many strengths in this book he taught many stories and there was definitely facts to back him up. Some of the arguments in the book I wasn’t to sure about because everyone is entitled to their own opinions so some of what he was saying I wasn’t exactly agreeing with him
