Actor Summer Pliskow did an amazing job using the basic skills and showing emotions, even with the limited stage time. Most of the play she was to appear as a bratty actor/daughter, Pliskow showed this through her normal yet deliberate tempo, along with her body posture. Also, I noticed that Pliskow used Lessac’s pronunciation guide, to stress certain words to show her emotions. For example, at the end when Angela and Husband approach She, Pliskow stressed syllables of the words used to accuse He of being a loser, #1, and She’s boyfriend, b drumbeat. Pliskow did a wonderful job of using her skills she has
The private secretary to the president of Schultz Sausages, Sydelle Pulaski is fifty years old. She rents a one-bedroom apartment in the rear of Sunset Towers. In Libby Copeland’s,” Who was she? A DNA test only opened new mysteries,” Copeland tells the story of Alice Plebuch’s ancestry search, all while giving the reader information on DNA testing kits. Copeland constructed her paper to tell a story, inform the reader, and flow all in one. She used different types of descriptive vocabulary and commas to keep the reader hooked, then told the story of Plebuch through this writing. Copeland used commas throughout the whole paper in many different ways.
Church lady is similar to Silence Dogood because both are made up characters. Church lady is made by Dana Carvey who insults and ridicules everyone from celebrities to presidents. As for Silence Dogood this character is made by Benjamin Franklin. Also to makes fun such as the people of America and religious people and the abuse of women. Making the Church lady and Silence Dogood very alike as if time has not changed.
My opinion towards Curley’s Wife, is that she can be a little too flirty at times. I understand that she is lonely when her husband is at work and/or at the whore house, but I think that she should be able to keep it under control. To be honest I hate her. I say this because she is always trying to get people in trouble, she’s always causing trouble, and she never once does anything on her own, she’s always has to go bother the guys, like Lennie. For example in Chapter 5, when Lennie is in the barn, getting all flustered and frustrated because he had just killed the pup on accident because he was play fighting with him, Curley’s Wife came in, and started bothering him.
They probably had to pay substantial fines for her years of hoarding. She still has a problem returning library books probably because she always likes a good book and hates to part with one before reading it two or three times. Today, she lives with her French husband, their two children, and a French fat cat in a small town overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains from where she writes her emotional, gritty, and dark

In the book Maniac Magee Jerry Spinelli revealed the character, Amanda Beale, to be really charitable. For example, on page 13 it said, “She tore a book from the suitcase, and hurled it at Maniac.” Amanda Beale gave one of her books to a complete stranger. She didn’t know what he would do with the book. Maniac could have kept the book or even ripped it up.
Curley’s wife is motivated by desperation. Curley’s wife is in a situation where she cannot escape her life with Curley because she has nowhere to go and her dreams have been lost in her past. To the other workers at the ranch, Curley’s wife is frowned upon because flirts with all the other men and she is “married two weeks and got the eye”(Steinbeck 28). Curley’s wife takes these actions because she is lonely being the only woman on the ranch so she becomes desperate for the attention she does not get from her husband. The desperation for attention, in this case, makes everyone else’s impression of her bad.
“The thing with kids is, if they want to grab for the gold ring, you have to let them do it, and not say anything. If they fall off, they fall off, but it’s bad if you say anything to them. “ (pg. 232 ¶ 5). Holden thought to himself as he watched his sister Phoebe grab for the ring; realizing that you can’t stop everyone from doing what they need to do. Phoebe is the symbol, she is a symbol for untainted and unbesmirched youth.
Section five – GoodCurley’s wife (Can she be redeemed) Curley’s wife is the only one to blame for her actions; she is always taking her anger out on people, meanly Crooks. She never say’s sorry or asks for forgiveness, although she is the only female on the ranch Steinbeck wants us to feel sympathy for her as she cannot get along with known body and she’s a house wife that’s extremely isolated with no one to convert. This is in evidence when she say’s “I get awful lonely.”

Mildred Pierce (Joan Crawford) is a classic example of a film Noir. Mildred when she is cornered into telling her story, tells it as if it’s the end. She has accepted her fate. In response to the detectives (Moroni Olsen) question as to why she is no longer married to Burt (Bruce Bennett) her response is “Because I was wrong” (19:36). She begins her story as a flashback.
She was living in poverty, no one wanted to publish her book, her mother had passed away, and she was part of a bad marriage that ended in divorce and a restraining order (Rachel Gillett,
The purpose in which we write has a tendency to affect the tone and style in which we write. A man named John Freyer started a project called All My Life for Sale in which he sold most of his belongings by means of ebay. His ebay posts are an exemplary example of how impactful and important a mix of subjective and objective details is when describing an object. An item that particularly stuck out to me was one titled “Fine Yellow Shoes”, in which the description tells us about how Freyer came to own them and where he had taken them. On ebay I was able to find a brilliantly yellow pair of ballroom shoes that were a bit similar to the ones from Freyer’s project.
