Matter is constantly being changed and converted into different forms of matter; how we identify these changes is a major key to success in Chemistry. The changes in materials can be classified into two categories: Physical and Chemical. During the “Wattsamatta U?” lab, we delved into these changes and discovered some interesting results.
Watching a smoothie being mixed, a pot of water boil, or, as we did in a mini-lab about water, watch ice melt, all represent physical changes.
