I am on track to graduate from Chemeketa Community College in the Spring of 2017. I will be graduating with an AAOT transfer degree to Oregon State University. In addition, by summer, I will be interning at Kaiser Permanente as an interpreter for the physicians for Spanish-speaking patients. Afterward, I will be attending Oregon State to earn my bachelor's in Chemistry by June of 2019. My four-year goal is to keep my GPA higher than a 3.50 to be considered for admissions at OHSU. Once admitted, I plan to enter a 26-month program for a Masters of Science in Physician Assistant Studies. They take on 42 students each year and I aspire to be one of them. This is my second year coaching the U6 boys as their head coach. In spite of my duty to teach the kids about soccer, Isaac, who is my center back told me that he was happy I was his teacher. The kids I train, have taught me the purpose that there is more to being just a soccer coach, nevertheless as a role model to each and every one of them. I care for my community as if they are family. Every child's family that I have coached has acknowledged my passion for teaching the youth generation the purpose of building relationships with teamwork. To illustrate my accident, Daniel, my cousin experienced a similar accident as I endured. Unfortunately, on May 19, 2003, Daniel lost his life when he was struck and ran over by a drunk driver early Monday morning. From the information my dad was told, he was outside with his older brother playing soccer in the yard when the ball rolled onto the street. Without precaution, he ran onto the street to retrieve the ball when the car hit him, it caused sudden death on impact. Eventually, my dad told me that he had passed, I can feel the constant pain he must’ve had. The scar I have on my right forearm reminisces the memories I had with him. Years after, I made his dad, my godfather during confirmation. The purpose was because I feel his spirit inside me since we were very close with each other.
