When we volunteer our time we help make our planet a better place, which is why I have been involved in many different community services and clubs throughout high school. Although I have been a part of many different charitable clubs, my favorite is our school’s Justice and Peace Club. Being a part of this club is very important to me because I am able to help provide food and basic necessities to the poverty stricken parts of Los Angeles. The Justice and Peace Club has helped me foster empathy and self-efficacy. The club has also helped me to appreciate the smaller things in life and build confidence and self-esteem. My interest in the human world and study of science encouraged me to further my understanding in this area by applying to study human biology at an undergraduate degree level. I wish to take these courses to enable me to develop skills that will provide me with a greater understanding of humans and the factors that affect us. In addition, I wish to continue graduate school by applying to the Pre- Physician Assistant program. My goal is to become a Physician Assistant in Pediatrics. I plan to pursue these academic interests by building a strong foundation in the sciences and intellectual skills as an undergraduate. I plan to continue to volunteer my time in hospitals and build first hand experiences. I have been preparing myself for this career since my freshmen year of high school by taking all of the appropriate classes, from AP Biology to Calculus. I will continue to take these courses in college, so I can have a strong foundation in biology, chemistry and physics to better prepare me for medical school. I plan to work diligently because I am a driven and self-efficient person. Being a Physician Assistant has always been my dream job, and to be able to fulfill this dream by being a part of a prestigious college is all I could ever
