Physicians have been one of the most important professions that have been around for generations. For people who don’t know about physicians, it is a profession that requires a lot of determination and motivation in which they help to ensure optimum health for people around the world. Although there are a lot of people who know exactly what the role of physicians are in this society today, but there are people who want to pursue their profession to be a physician. A physician’s role is to provide medical assistance to patients in need of it. Whether it goes from just doing a physical to even a surgery. The importance of physician in this society is extremely high. Everywhere in the world, physicians are very important. There are hospitals and clinics everywhere in the world where citizens of the area, go to get checked up to ensure their health is in a good condition. As stated in the University of California School of Medicine, “The physician’s role is to assess; treat, admit or discharge any patient that seeks medical attention at any time of day or night”(Physician’s role, n.d.). These projects gave me an indescribable experience, as a participant, in the discovery process and a newfound appreciation for medical research. As an aspiring future physician, I want to enhance upon the efforts I demonstrated in college by merging the principles I will learn in medicine alongside with those that I have attained in Costa Rica and India.
