Inertia is the reason why humans don’t fall out of those crazy fun machines; Inertia is the tendency of objects to keep moving in a straight line at a constant velocity also meaning it never stops. When people are on the roller coaster while it’s upside down or in loop gravity is pulling you downward but acceleration is working as well by pushing you upwards, because of the motion of the coaster it is way stronger than the force of gravity, but that isn’t all.
Another force is centripetal force, Centripetal force makes objects follow in a circular path without falling of the track, this force acts on the body that is inside the coaster which is moving in a circular motion it is always directed towards the center of the circular motion of the body inside the coaster. When the coaster takes sharp turns the people enjoying the ride have a feeling of being pushed …show more content…

The more the spherical the loop the more uncomfortable the ride is for the passengers because of the strength of the Centripetal Force.

Roller Coasters have no type of engine built on them energy keeps that coaster running very fast, the first climb up the first hill is where all of the energy is building up the coaster is pulled up by cables that provides the coaster with potential energy which is why you hear the clicking noise. After the coaster climbs up the first hill and drops down the main slope it is using the potential energy and also building up kinetic energy during the process because of the velocity of the coaster, the kinetic energy is what helps the coaster climb the next hill. Then the ride just repeats itself with every climb and every drop until the ride ends. As the coaster come to a stop the force of friction is what makes it stop, when the coaster rolls down to the dock area the brakes on the track is what stops the coaster from rolling any further because if not the force of
