Football is America’s best sport to watch. The excitement and joy of your favorite team winning. The tailgating of fan love and hopes to make it to the most watched event in America, the Super Bowl. However, have you ever thought about the science behind the physical sport? Football has different types of physics some involve force, acceleration, gravity, and more. The physics taking place in football are throwing the football, punting the ball, line up, and tackling. The physics of punting a ball is just a projectile motion that has two motions. Before the motions happen the ball is at rest (inertia) and is required for a player to put some force for the ball to move for the punter to punt the ball. After the long snapper snaps the ball …show more content…

Newton’s 2nd Law of kineticism presents force on object is identically tantamount to the mass of the object multiplied by its expedition. In the matters of football, how much expedition of the ball depends on the force applied by the quarterback and the mass of the ball. For example, when the ball is at rest we ken it’s expediting when the quarterback throws it in a forward kineticism and expedites after the force is applied. This sanctions the ball to reach the wide receiver prosperously. In additament, the expedition of the ball depends on the mass of the ball. A heavier ball expedition would decrement compared to a lighter ball when being thrown at the same …show more content…

The velocity is multiplied by players mass. When the football is thrown players scramble to catch the ball. In this process, they utilize equal and antithesis of kineticism when they collide. When players collide the net force being applied decides the mismatch of either the runner is going to be tackled or not. For example, if a running back is running and his net force is higher than the advocator, he has the potential to circumvent the advocator. However, if an advocator net force is perhaps 210 N and a running back is 170 N, then the running back is in less liable to go through the advocator. The direction of each player net force withal determines the direction of the more preponderant force. So the advocator that has 200 N peregrinating to his left and the running back with 170 N going his right, then 30 N of force of the running back will go to the
