The Pinellas Park Police Department is a customer service geared police agency recognized by Pinellas County and the State of Florida as a sanctioned law enforcement agency since its inception in 1915. Recently the department has been accredited by the Commission for National Law Enforcement Accreditation and The Commission for Florida Law Enforcement. These acquired accreditations serve notice that the department will be run in the most efficient and business oriented manner while meeting the needs of the community. We strive to operate in a professional manner by constantly evolving in partnership with the community to provide exceptional service, ensure public safety, and enhance the quality of life in Pinellas Park. In order to meet the goals set forward in our 2016 strategic plan, three long term goals were identified. The first is to promote public safety through effective enforcement, education, and community partnerships to ensure a safe community. Our second goal is to provide a professional work environment that attracts and retains diverse, qualified members, recognizes employee excellence, and develops leadership through training and education. ICOR products have been recommended by organizations such as the National Institute of Standards in Technology (NIST) and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS). In addition, the National Tactical Officers Association (NTOA) has tested and recommended ICOR’s Mini-CALIBER robot as the best equipment available given its listed functions. The requested $25,000 will be augmented by the Pinellas Park Police seizure funds to meet the $34,795.00 price point set by ICOR
