Programming is my escape from the dreariness and the uniformity of life. It is a tool with which I can create my own world, a world where I am in control, a world that reflects my imagination, a world that I can be lost in eternally. Computer science is unique in its own right. While most other subjects recommend thorough planning before an extensive project, a lack of thorough planning is not necessarily bad in computer science since it allows for more flexibility of thought during development. Infact, without a concrete plan for PlanAir (my first app), I made an app that encapsulated more diverse functionalities than were first designated to it and had a more dynamic design.What adds to this flexibility is the ease with which new ideas for design and functionalities can be integrated into the product during and after development. A proof of this is the constant app updates that we get from the app store or the perceptible evolution of google, youtube, facebook, etc. The broad flexibility in thought makes developing a vastly creative process. The ample amount of products available to address the same issue and the diverse implementations of the same idea gives creativity in computer science another dimension. The realisation that with an ingenious idea and sufficient knowledge and skills, I can impact of millions of lives around the world makes me ecstatic. When I was young, the process of developing websites and apps seemed arcane to me. Being a developer, with very modest skills, thus thrills me. More importantly, it gives me confidence that if I continue to pursue my passion for computer science by learning new programming languages and mastering existing skills, I can make a difference in this world through computer
