WWII Planes
During WWII the US. made around 276,000 planes (“WWII Aircraft Facts”). During this war there was many attacks such as the bombing of Pearl Harbor and the attack of Great Britain. And also from looking at a lot of the battles that happened in history, the size of air force you have doesn’t always matter. Since WWII was one of the first major wars using planes it became very expensive, but was also a very effective battle tactic. On the date of July 10, 1940, Germany attempted to destroy Great Britain's Royal Air Force (“World War II”). Later, Great Britain’s allies countered the attacks with 14,000 airplane attacks in one day (“World War II”). Even though Germany had a bigger air force Great Britain still won (“World War II”). According to “WWII Aircraft Facts,” “the first major attack was when the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor (“World War II”).” This attack happened on December 7, 1941 (“World War II”). With this attack 2,341 US. Navy forces were killed and only 64 were killed from Japan (“World War II”). The japanese were hoping to keep us from entering the war, but instead of that we entered the war and played a huge part in it (“World War II”).
