Plato's Etchics: The Great Philosophers

After Reading about Platos Etchics, I have come to the conclusión that Philosophers are and have been a huge help to the world, to human kind specifically. Socrates and Plato, both very bright and outstanding Philosophers focused on the idea of happiness, concepts were created, examples were given, and it is crystal clear. When I thought about happiness I imagines a person, or myself with that feeling inside. That feeling that could only result from doing what I like to do, spending my time with people I care about, or maybe enjoying a movie at home, one of my favorites. This makes Plato seem to be a fantastic source, it is full of discoveries and creativity, and it is not afraid to let know. For example in the Republic, he treats happinessas a state of perfection that is hard to comprehend because it is base don metaphysical presuppositions that seem hazy and imposible to be understood by ordinary thinkers. Then he comes up with this new theory about happiness, and how it is all inside each persons desire to fulfill his or her own desires. Trying to look for a safe place, and with safety, comes great happiness. It is said that Plato began with short dialogues, which questioned basic morals such as courage, justice, moderation and so on. Examining life was perhaps the best thing Plato could do, because it is because of that, that we, as a group, family, community, country, or I even dares ay entire world, become less ignorant about ethics as a topic. Not meaning only moral values such as saying hello when you arrive to a stranger”s home, or saying thank you, but how to deal with life in general, how to understand true emotions and where they come from.
