The researchers conducted a systematic review of the literature, specifically looking at the effects of rule changes on player safety. The results showed that rule changes had a positive effect on player safety, such as reducing the incidence of injuries, reducing the severity of injuries, and reducing the risk of head injuries. The authors concluded that rule changes, when implemented correctly, can significantly reduce the risk of injury to football players. In order to ensure optimal safety, the authors emphasize the importance of following the current rules and regulations set by the governing bodies of football. In the article American Football Basic Rules by Wood, Robert, it says, “They have four chances (or downs) to gain those 10 yards.
