“The Most Dangerous Game” is a famous story that was later adapted into a movie. It was written by Richard Connell. The story tells about a hunter who falls off a ship on its way to the Amazon. He finds much greater peril than the extensive waters of the Caribbean Sea.
The first major point in the story is when Rainsford hears 3 gunshots and follows the sound. He falls off of the ship and into the Caribbean Sea, but the boat continues on, unaware of his absence. He hears another gunshot and swims toward it, trying to find civilization. He climbs onto an island and falls asleep there until the next morning when he finds an empty cartridge and ventures off to find food.
