I want to apply to Plymouth State University because of the Nursing program. When I was young, I came across a medical book at my cousin's house. The book was about different diseases and I was reading it for hours. I didn't know that the time passed by rapidly. Once I came back home, I knew I wanted to have a career in the medical field. I absolutely love the science aspect of it and I just have a passion in my heart that it's telling me this is it. At the end of middle school and high school, I volunteered at 3 different departments of 3 different Elliot Hospitals. In high school, I researched that the Latin language is used frequently in the medical and law, therefore, I took Latin for 3 years. After graduating from high school, for an unknown reason, I did not apply to Nursing or Pre-medical major. Many students discussed how much money they planned on making with their majors and I assumed that I was strayed off by deciding another major. The first day of college was completely horrendous as I had absolutely no passion or interested in whatever the professors were lecturing. By the second day, I applied to another major and I was stuck with it for a year. I had no passion in the major and every word from the professors did not stay inside my brain. I was struggling with the major and I read books about the classes, watched Youtube videos, and attended tutoring sessions. Yet, nothing was working. I thought to myself that if I obtained a job related to the major, maybe I would actually like it. Fortunately, I got a job immediately and I liked the job, nevertheless, my heart was not there.
