In our society there are numerous challenges and obstacles that African Americans have to overcome. The Black Lives Matter Movement is an positive empowering movement that helps African Americans in a powerful place. The movement was created as a result of the massive amount of black murders that occurred due to police or racial profiling or driving while black. Black people are killed everyday due to not so smart decisions, there are different solutions to problems but all problems do not get resolved the right way. Police brutality is used everyday against blacks throughout this country. Police brutality has affected people’s everyday life in negative ways and has caused some members of the African American community to distrust law enforcement and the justice system. Police brutality has moved African Americans over the years which has caused them to start a movement. The Black Lives Matter Movement started when Trayvon Martin was killed and put on trial for his own murder. Police Brutality played a big role in the mass murders of the African American population as a whole.
