At the beginning of the police in the United States, the police were not an official organ of the system, it was men from each neighborhood who gathered to provide security to their cities and they were not forced but voluntarily watching the neighborhood . The prevalence of this surveillance was between 1635 and 1844 . The style of volunteering was somewhat good until problems began to emerge and one of the most common problems was drinking while working , this is why the need for an official police apparatus organized by the government has emerged. One of the first police stations in the United States is the Boston Police Station, which was established in 1839 , then after that, the second police station to come to light, the New York Police Station, was established in 1845 . At the time, the police were not organized enough and relatively new, the problems that were being dealt with at the time were whether the police had to wear uniforms and there were many questions about the limits of their powers .
