On 06/14/2017 around 1750 hours, I, Officer Burkes, responded to a report of a suspicious person knocking on a door at 1504 Homestead Blvd. The caller stated that a white male was bleeding all over her door and asking her to call 911. When I arrived on scene, I noticed a white male, later identified as Alex Schesny, sitting between the screen door and steele door. I asked Alex to get up and walk out to the back of my patrol car. Once on the back of my car, I retrieved my gloves out of the front seat.

In 2005, Carl Bryan was stopped in Coronado, California for a seat belt violation. Bryan had already been stopped that same morning on a speeding charge, at this point he was upset with himself. As a member of law enforcement, my interaction with correction is closer than most people. However, it is not as familiar as correctional officer since I work in the traffic division. My closest contact with someone who was in correction facility is my mechanic. I have known him for 2 years through an introduction from a close friend. I first met him in the parking lot of his apartment complex where he works on car.
Warrant officers are the leaders of their field and experts in their trade. As such, they must be reliable, technically and tactically proficient, quick learners, and self-motivated, traits I already possess. I believe I have the necessary skills, experience, and leadership abilities to be a great asset to the Army as a Warrant Officer. I have more experience and training than most of my peers considering warrant officer as their next step.
