Political Revolutions: Legend By Marie Lu Political revolution is a new type of government there are some books that have political revolutionary such as the giver and the legend. Political revolutions usually have to do with unfitting laws and war. The book Legend is a perfect example of political revolution. This Book 's setting is in the United states. The two main characters one is Day he is 15 years old and he is a rebel, also a girl named June she is 15 years old and she is a police officer. The primary conflict is that June wanted revenge for the death of her brother Metias. June thought the day was the one that killed Metias. The day had no idea he thought that he just hurt Metias. June started to spy on Day, but they fell in love with each other. The Resolution of the conflict of Legend is that Day tells June that there is no way that he could have killed Metias. So June starts to reread Meitas Journal and his death report and she discovers that it was not Day it was the government and they didn 't only killed her brother the government killed her parents. The book Legend has a strong connection to the topic political revolution. The government of Legend does not have control over its citizens. June found that her brother Metias has left clues in his journal. The clues lead June to a website June 's brother 's discovered about the government. In one of the websites Journal entries, he gave a tip to June. In the book, it states “ If you want to rebel, rebel from inside of the stem. That’s much more power feel that rebelling outside the system”. (Lu 245) The quote means that maybe there are some rebels inside of the government. This connects to the claim because the government is not that strong anymore. The government is not that strong because they are spies in the government.
