Political socialization is a life time process by people in which they form their own ideas and beliefs of politics and acquire political values. My political socialization was influenced by my family. However, the mass media and my future educational achievements and financial goals had created an impact on my political socialization. My political socialization is that my belief understanding of politics came from the time when I was a young teenager. It was when my family had taught me about understanding politics and what the meaning of it is. For example, my father had taught of what is happening in the government and how it will affect the country. He showed me during a news broadcast about the new laws the president had made and explained to me by stating what the new laws mean and whether it’s a either good law or a bad law. The government classes made an impact on political socialization by giving more info on history of topics that mostly involve with politics and let me had a viewpoint and belief on the government. Also, television had made an impact by showing what is happening on the news, which mostly dealt with conflict between race, different groups, and war against a different country. Moreover, religion as well had created an impact on my ideas of politics and political value. The pastors of my church explained on how religion made changes onto what people think about others and tell us about different people who goes against God’s wishes and become rebellious. Religions lead me to think more about different groups of people who believe differently in religion which had me thought about my political socialization.
