Hillary Clinton once said, “We must stop thinking of the individual and start thinking about what is best of society.” Hillary has proven the importance of this quote by constantly trying to make the world a better place. Clinton continues to promote equality for all, and has take part in our society in many reforms and positions. In her trajectory, Hillary has helped with education, health care, and foreign affairs. She has countless experience in the political world and has made public service her life's work. Despite the obstacles she faced in her personal life and career, Hillary managed to overcome whatever they might be. Hillary was born October 26th 1947, in Chicago, Illinois and raised in Parkridge, Illinois, a suburb located 15 miles from Chicago. Hillary Rodham was the eldest daughter of Hugh Rodham, a prosperous fabric store owner, and Dorothy Emma Howell Rhodham; she has two younger brother, Hugh Jr. and Anthony. In 1975, she married fellow law school graduate Bill Clinton. Hillary is the mother of Chelsea Victoria Clinton and became first-time grandmother when daughter gave birth to Charlotte Clinton Mezvinsky. As a young woman, Clinton participated in young Republican organizatons, and in 1964 she campagned for the republican Presidential Nominee Barry Goldwater (history). After hearing a speech by the Reverend Martin Luther King, Hillary became immensily inspired to work in public service and became a democrat in 1968. Rhodham attended Wellesley College, where she was elected class president before graduating. Hillary became the first women to deliver a commecement address at the graduation in 1969.
