“Sooner or later, we will have to recognise that the Earth has rights, too, to live without pollution. What mankind must know is that human beings cannot live without Mother Earth, but the planet can live without humans”, Evo Morales. Within the continent of North America there are countless issues and problems that don’t get the attention they deserve. Human trafficking, pollution and Racism all are carving a path of destruction through North America. If they continue to present themselves in North America it will create a schism divided the people of each country. In places like North America problems like pollution go completely unnoticed. In canada alone water pollution is a major problem and it can easily be stopped if people would simply be more conscious of the effects their actions have on the earth. Study.com states “In Canada, over 150 billion liters of inadequately treated wastewater (sewage) is dumped every year. There are plenty of other sources of water contamination in Canada though, including as a result of acid rain or natural erosion or sedimentation.” Why do people feel the need to do whats most convenient for them? When you're walking down the street why is it that you see litter and things like cigarette buds lining the streets? It’s because people are to lazy to walk to a trash can and so they just throw their garbage wherever they please. This trash then gets carried away by rain and ends up in the same water we drink. People still cease to think of these things before they dump their trash of the ground. Some people argue that it's okay to throw bio-degradables on the ground, but this isn't true because it's not a good look to just discharge rubbish wherever seems convenient. Human intervention is what’s destroying the economy of Canada. Unless the people of the country change their ways there won’t be an economy to protect, because the things they’re doing are turning the water that they drink into nothing more than
