The Mandate of the Bishops Commission for Church Ministry has played a role in promoting the life and mission of the Catholic Church in Australia by being informed and offering advice on issues relating to clergy life and ministry, oversight of the National Ratio Fundamentalis for seminaries, issues relating to relationships with religious institutes and more. Pope Francis is about bringing and authentic revolution in the Catholic Church. He represents the model of “charismatic” leadership. This involves being aware of people strength and weaknesses and gifts in the individuals of society, which makes him generous in giving to others what he has received. The main element of Pope Francis leadership style is that he uses congruent verbal and non-verbal communication in the sense that he conveys a consistent message in what he says and what he shows with his non-verbal communication. Pope Francis showed a particular leadership style of servant leadership has a unique ability to help frame the terms of negotiation and keep a focus on the issues at hand, which allows him to affect the actions of others. The Pope provides an important lesson about leadership in negotiations, which benefits the community on dealing with hard deal. These includes on focusing on the issue not the position, to expand your set of values, involve all parties and set expectations. Furthermore servant leadership means leading by example and that it is crucial to set proper expectations for what is the best outcome in terms of the parties within the negotiation. Francis was promising to leading the Catholics through it as part of a matter of faith as he lives with humility.
