Women in military Did you know that the department’s civilian and military leadership recognize that our thinking, fight, and landscape of our battle has significantly evolved since women have joined. Many in the military already understand that many women can do combat jobs as well as men, but none have had a chance to prove it. Female troops did not have the opportunity to be trained, equipped and deployed specifically to fight alongside men in units designed to engage in frontline close combat. Having female troops in every combat role is crucial for intelligence gathering and interacting with local populations. Women deserve equal opportunities in military combat as men because women meets the same standards, also they have a different mindset and also women interact or communicate with people better. Women are now allowed to join in the infantry, because women are meeting the same standards as men. Nobody questions the courage or patriotism of women who enlist and place themselves at risk. There are many stereotypes about women in the military for example military women can’t achieve the same physical standards as men. Missions are met with the best qualified and most capable people for the task. Women have become an asset, accomplishing feats with their male troops that say they couldn’t have done it without her. Collective intelligence tends to increase as the percentage of women increases due to social sensitivity. Female thinkers are what we need in every part of our force, they will maximize combat effectiveness. And a reason why the United States military allows women in infantry is because teams with diverse backgrounds make better decisions.
