The Effects of Cuddling Cuddling is to hold fondly close in one 's arms or hug tenderly as a way of showing love or affection. From the moment we are placed in our mother 's arms. We realize that falling into someone 's arm is the most perfectly warm and cozy place one can be. Also, cuddling is one of the most important non-verbal communication to express our love in a way that word cannot express. Cuddling can affect human in three aspects: relationship, mental health, and physical health. Firstly, cuddling makes a better relationship. It allows you to communicate better. When you cannot convey your words to your partner, cuddling is the good way to tell him or her how you feel. Cuddling also allows you to express understanding, empathy, and love to your partner. Lastly, cuddling can improve your physical health. Cuddling releases oxytocin which is known as a feel good hormone. Nowadays, the scientist says that Oxytocin is neurotransmitter that has an influence with the working of brain and health. It can make your mind feel calm, relaxed, help you fall asleep, and heal your pain. In addition, cuddling boosts your immune system. The releasing of hormones while you are cuddling help to boost your immune system. When your body and mind feel great, you are less susceptible to sickness and feelings of depression. Moreover, cuddling lowers your risk of heart disease because it helps you lower stress, anxiety and blood pressure. According to the research from the University of South Carolina, the normal heart rate is between 60 and 100 beats per minute. For people who rarely cuddle others or rarely be cuddled, a heart rate will increase around 10 per minute while people who always be cuddled, heart rate will increase around 5 per minute. That means a fast heartbeat can make your heart work harder and can increase the risk of heart disease more than people who always be given
