Throughout history, there have always been issues with power abuse and the consequences of them are fatal at times. And power abuse can be created from the smallest of things, for example if a person sees that they can manipulate someone or something a small seed of evil is implemented into the brain, but it's up to the person to decide to use it to their selfish advantage.This kind of abuse of power is seen in the book The Crucible written by Arthur Miller. Abigail abuses her power by getting Elizabeth Proctor in trouble by accusing her of witchcraft,by doing that, that she hopes to get her dead and she can finally focus on john, because of her love for John , when he rejects her love she wants to get back at him as well. Abigail was able to accuse anyone she wants of witchery because she was related to her uncle who has great power because he's a reverent and she used her innocence as an advantage. She could manipulate anyone to do anything she wants through power. If Mary did not listen the other girls and Abigail would simply use her innocence and accuse them of witchery.Power abuse and its consequences are show greatly in The Crucible and abigail went to jail straight after for false accusation. So the main theme is don't abuse power and don't let it corrupt you because the consequences are great and
